Northern Line (İZBAN)

The ''Northern Line'' is a commuter rail service operated by İZBAN on tracks owned by the Turkish State Railways, operating between Alsancak Terminal in İzmir to Aliağa railway station in the northern port town of Aliağa. The Northern Line is the busiest commuter rail line in Turkey serving an average of 107,653 passengers daily.
==Overview==
Between Alsancak and Aliağa, a total of 42 trains operate in each direction daily, with the first train leaving Alsancak at 5:57 am and the last train leaving at 10:24 pm. Between Alsancak and Menemen, a total of 86 trains operate in each direction daily (42 continuing on to Aliağa). The first train leaves Alsancak at 5:57 am, and the last train leaves at 11:24 pm.
Passengers may transfer to the İzmir Metro at Halkapınar, and connections are available to the State Railway's regional and main line trains at Alsancak, Halkapınar, Çiğli and Menemen.
